If you have ever wanted to experience a side-by-side of the juice from Champagne’s white grapes versus red grapes, tonight is your chance. We will taste four wines made solely from white grapes next to wines made solely from red grapes and see if you can see how differently they show in the glass. These champagnes will of course all be from some of the most magnificent grower-producer winemakers in the region!
Champagne Blends Tasting
Champagne is one of the few regions in the world that will blend white and red grapes unironically. We’ll explore variations of all Champagne’s three big varietals: chardonnay, pinot noir and pinot meunier. There is a reason why the alchemy of blending red and white grapes is so magical in this region, and tonight you will taste champagnes from some of the greatest winemakers and see how this technique has been perfected.
Spanish Wine Tasting with VIN°VI & Co

The Piedmont Guy Tasting
Join us at Le Midi’s communal table for a special evening with one of our favorite Piedmont importers, The Piedmont Guy. We'll explore nine distinctive wines from the region, showcasing a variety of styles that range from playful and intriguing to classic and brooding. Hosting the evening will be Seth, joined by his dear friend Amy Ezrin from The Piedmont Guy, who will expertly guide us through the lineup. Expect a night of exceptional wine, light bites, and, as always, plenty of laughter and camaraderie.

Chardonnay Showdown: USA vs Burgundy
We’ll be comparing some of the best Chardonnays from the US next to some of the best white Burgundies to see who is doing it better - and let me tell you, they are all doing it incredibly well.
This is a tasting where we will show the wines we’ll be pouring first before you arrive so you can see the heat we’re bringing out that night. Some of the most rare and famous wines from their region!

How often do you get to sit down and experience a champagne duel from two prolific producers? We’ve been waiting to get enough of these unicorn wines in to do a showdown between two champagne powerhouses: Frédéric Savart and R. Pouillon & Fils. We’re showing 4 similar cuvées from each producer that express just how different they can taste in the glass dependent on each winemaker’s alchemy. It’s going to be full of geeky education, but most of all, packed with fun and some of the world’s best and rarest champagnes!

‘Tis the season for the pink wines we all scramble over when the weather warms up. Just like all wines that come into Le Midi, we only select the best-of-the-best for our customers and that holds true for our rosé selections. Come join us for a laid back night of Champagne revelry as we showcase 4 different champagnes from the RM producer Champagne Marx-Coutelas & Fils! This will be an informal meet-and-greet hosted by Vinejoy Chicago alongside winemaker Bryan Marx where they will pour 2 non-vintage and 2 vintage-dated single-vineyard champagnes while chatting about what’s in your glass. All you have to do it sit back, sip, and relax!
There will also be the option to purchase the wines for retail afterwards.

What better time to get ahead of the New Year’s Eve shenanigans than with a Champagne tasting! And not just any Champagne - one of the darlings of the region and a favorite in the hearts of Champagne lovers around the world.
Le Midi was very lucky to be able to get its hands on just a few of these highly allocated bottles that we feel we’d be remiss to not have our customers have the opportunity to try. Sadly there are not many of these bottles out there so the post-tasting purchasing option will be very limited but you can at least now go through life saying you got to try six of R. Pouillon’s best bottles side by side!
