Arnaud Lambert

CRÉMANT DE LOIRE, FRANCE |  NV

Need a great bottle of bubbles that overdelivers for the price point? Look no further than the NV Arnaud Lambert "Brézé" Crémant de Loire. It stands as a testament to the artistry of winemaking, offering exceptional value given the exhaustive craftsmanship invested in creating this affordable sparkler from the renowned terroir of Brézé in the Loire Valley.

Brézé, a commune in Saumur celebrated for its precision in Chenin Blanc and vibrant, age-worthy Cabernet Franc, serves as the backdrop for this wine. Comprising approximately 75% Chenin Blanc and the remainder Chardonnay, the blend strategically incorporates Chardonnay to impart softness, body, and a rounded character to counterbalance the intense nature of Chenin Blanc sourced from the coldest hillside sites in this already chilly region.Vineyards predominantly rest on tuffeau limestone bedrock, with sedimentary and alluvial topsoils exhibiting varying clay and sand content, alongside differences in topsoil depth.

Grapes hailing from Brézé undergo a meticulous vinification process. Whole cluster pressing, carried out over four hours, kicks off the journey. Notably, no sulfites are introduced initially. Stainless steel aging follows, with six months spent in tank before bottling. The bottled wine is then patiently held for one year before release.

The NV Arnaud Lambert "Brézé" Crémant de Loire is difficult to beat in the QPR category. Easily one of the best sparkling wine values we’ve tasted in 2023!
